The Anomaly That's Me

I sound posh, but I'm not
I'm not vain, but I dread looking my age
I'm a photographer, but I hate having my picture taken
I live to travel, yet sometimes I want to stay in one place
I'm a health nut, but I drink whiskey
I live a very simple life, but like expensive things
I live on the other side of the world from my family, but sometimes wish I lived round the corner
My two daughters mean everything to me, but in October I have to let them go
My husband is my soul mate and best friend, but I enjoy being on my own when he works away
Cites inspire my photographic soul, but I love peace and quiet
Part of what I do in life (not my photography) involves talking to people, but I don't actually like people
I listen to classical music and opera, but I also love country
I love watching films, but I'd rather read a book
I never really feel that I fit in, but being ordinary scares me
To certain people I've tried to be respectful, but now realize that they just don't deserve me
My mother is the 'good' parent, but I miss having a father
I dress like a hippie, but I'm not really
I have quite a few friends, but only one really gets me

The truth is that I love my life. I love what I do. I've learned to like me.

Abandoned Chateau in SW France

These shots were taken in the south west of France at an overgrown and abandoned Chateau hidden deep in the woods.

I had previously edited them as color photographs but I actually prefer them in black and white.

At the moment I live in the heart of France. I say at the moment as my family and I are noted for being rather gypsy like. We have just moved from the beautiful SW to the even more beautiful middle.  These photos are from a medieval town called Villeneuve sur Lot. France is so full of photo opportunities, all I need is a few extra hours in the day!
